Electric Honey:

Electric Honey is a Scottish independent record label. It was founded in 1992; starting as a way for students to get an insight into working with record companies. Electric specialise in indie/alternative rock genres, with large clients such as Snow Patrol and Biffy Clyro in the past.

This record label would be ideal for our band as they are an independent record label, as such it would be more realistic for them to pick up a new band, compared to an established large label who's clients have chart-topping singles. Also the label's previous artists genre matches our own artists'. The companies track record is also very promising, with Snow Patrol selling 10 million copies of their album while under the label, which would be a huge benefit to our smaller group.

4AD:

4AD are a  record label located in the UK, founded in 1980. 4AD is a member of Beggars Group, a larger company that owns several smaller record labels, which helps to distribute artists. 4AD have a very rich track record of supporting independent groups, most noticeably indie rock and alternative rock, with groups such as

4AD would ideal for the same reasons as Electric Honey; specialise in alternative/indie rock genres, and are an independent label so would be more realistic for picking up our band. However one large advantage to 4AD over other labels is that they have distributors in other parts of the world. These distributors allow them to sell their artists' songs in countries such as Japan, Canada, and France. This would be have a massive benefit to our group as it would give them the opportunity to increase their audience, in turn increasing profit.

Domino:

Domino are an independent recording company based in London. The label also has wings located in the US, Germany, and France.

I feel that this label would fit our group the best out of the labels as its focus is on indie rock and indie pop, whereas the other labels have artists with a wider range of genres. This would benefit our group as the label is experienced in their type of music, as such would be able to help them most. The ability to distribute all across the world is another huge advantage for this label as it will give the artists to ability to reach new audiences otherwise unavailable to them.
