Add images as flexible content blocks that you can position, resize, crop, and style directly in the editor. Upload your own files, reuse team assets, search for stock media, or insert an image from a URL.
Add an image
- Select Image from the insert toolbar.
- Choose an image from your uploads or your team's media, search Unsplash and GIPHY, or upload a new file.
- Move and resize the image on the slide.

Select an image to crop or rotate it, add alternative text, restore its natural size, or replace it. The block toolbar also lets you retain its aspect ratio and adjust its size, position, opacity, border, shadow, blur, and corner radius.

Add alternative text when an image communicates information that is not already explained by nearby text. This helps people using assistive technology understand its purpose.
Insert an image from a URL
- Select Image from the insert toolbar.
- Select Insert from URL in the upper-right corner of the media library.
- Enter a direct HTTPS URL to the image and select Save.
The image remains linked to the external URL, so it needs to stay publicly available for the image to load in your presentation.
Add SVG images
You can upload SVG images to add vector graphics that remain sharp at any size. SVG works well for logos, icons, diagrams, and other graphics that you may need to scale significantly. See SVG and vector graphics for more details.
Use an image as the slide background
Right-click the image to open its context menu, then select Use image as slide background. You can manage it later from the slide's background settings. Learn more in Slide backgrounds.
Your uploaded images are also available from the Media library.
