Name, timing, and transition for one slide

Slide settings let you name a slide for internal links, override its transition, and control how long it remains visible during auto-slide playback. Open slide settings from the menu on the right or press ⌥ ⇧ S on macOS or Alt ⇧ S on Windows.

Slide name

Give your slide a unique name that you can refer to when adding internal links. Use lowercase letters and numbers, separating words with dashes, such as overview-slide.

Auto-slide duration

Enter the number of seconds this slide should remain visible before the presentation automatically moves to the next slide. If this is left empty or set to 0, the slide doesn't advance automatically.

This setting is typically combined with a default auto-slide duration for the presentation. For example, if the presentation changes slides every 6 seconds, you could keep one particular slide visible for 20 seconds.

Slide and background transition

Choose how the slide and its background animate in and out of view. Hover over a thumbnail to preview the animation.

This setting overrides the presentation-level transition. The default transition is highlighted with a star symbol.

Slide classes (advanced)

Pro and Team users who enable developer mode gain an additional field for slide classes. Use it to target a specific slide with custom CSS.
