Invite members and assign their roles

Team owners and admins can use the Team members settings page to invite people, assign roles, and deactivate or reactivate accounts.

To invite a member, enter their email address, choose a role, and select Send invite. The recipient receives an email with instructions for joining the Team.

Teams can authenticate members with email and password, Google-domain sign-in, or an OpenID Connect provider such as Okta or Microsoft Entra. Learn more about configuring single sign-on. When required SSO is enabled, invitations are disabled and new members are added automatically when they sign in through the configured provider.

Team roles

Each Team member has one of three roles:

  • Member can create presentations and access shared Team content.
  • Admin can change Team settings, manage members, create themes, manage shared media, and access billing.
  • Owner has the same administrative access as an Admin and is the designated owner of the Team.

Deactivate a member

Select the X icon beside an active member to deactivate their account. You cannot deactivate your own account.

Deactivated accounts and their content are retained so they can be reactivated later, but deactivated members are not included in the Team's active member count for billing. An owner or admin can also move a deactivated member's decks into their own account.
