Vertical slides

Vertical slides let you place supporting material beneath a main slide, creating optional branches without interrupting the horizontal flow of your presentation. Your audience can move down to view the additional slides or continue horizontally to skip them.

Add vertical slides

Open the slide that should sit at the top of the stack, then select the Add vertical slide button below the canvas. Additional vertical slides are added beneath the current horizontal slide.

Use Arrange mode to see the full presentation structure and drag slides into or out of vertical stacks.

Choose a navigation mode

Open the presentation Settings panel and use Navigation mode to control how viewers move between horizontal and vertical slides. This setting has no effect on presentations without vertical slides.

• Default uses the left and right arrows for horizontal slides and the up and down arrows for vertical slides.
• Linear uses the left and right arrows to step through every slide, including vertical slides.
• Grid lets viewers move directly between adjacent vertical slides while preserving the presentation's grid structure.
