Databases for Literature Research

Google Scholar

Google Scholar does not filter for peer-reviewed content or provide criteria for what makes a source "scholarly." It may also include predatory journals, which lack proper peer review. Always verify sources before citing.

Google Scholar

Google Scholar is great to check if a specific article is available via HPU Databases.

A systematic review answers a defined research question by collecting and summarizing all empirical evidence that fits pre-specified eligibility criteria.

A meta-analysis is the use of statistical methods to summarize the results of these studies.
