What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

I used many different softwares and websites during the course of creating this product. Some of them were easy and quick while others took some time for me to figure out how to use them and I encountered problems.

One problem I has was when I used polyvore  to make my moodboard and I realised I had done it wrong by creating a template instead of a set so I had to start again. As I clicked 'save', once I'd finished recreating my moodboard, the page refreshed itself and deleted all the work I did and it's draft. Luckily the one I had made previously as a template was saved, so I took a screenshot and cropped it in photoshop to upload to my blog.

I was used to the way inDesign worked so I enjoyed using it to create my magazine but I think I can definitely learn more about how to use it. It was much easier to design my front cover on inDesign compared to Photoshop and I'm glad I chose to use it.

I'm comfortable using Photoshop so it was really quick and easy when I needed to edit a photo to put on my magazine.

When uploading my final magazine to issuu I got confused because my double page spread would only appear as one whole page instead of 2 pages and I couldn't figure out how to change it so I had to upload it to my blog like that. This wasn't a good way of dealing with the problem as I didn't find a solution.

I used dafont.com to help me find fonts which was good in the sense that there are thousands of different fonts to choose from but also bad because it took so long to find a suitable font that might be useable. I spent longer looking at fonts than I intended, but I think the choices I made for my final magazine were good ones.
