PERFORMANCE MUSIC VIDEOS:

A performance music video will usually consist of the artist either on stage or a location/ set where they are singing and playing their instruments. A video like this will contain a huge focus on the performance and nothing else.

 

NARRATIVE MUSIC VIDEOS:

A narrative music video is one which follows a storyline and commonly fits with the lyrics of the song. Two types of a narrative music video are linear and fragmented. A linear narrative has a beginning, middle and end were as a fragmented video doesn't necessarily have to start at the beginning and can move between various parts of a plot.

 

CONCEPT MUSIC VIDEOS:

A concept music video is created through sorts of unusual imagery and the presentation of an artistic idea instead of relying on performance of the artist.
