What Data ?
We were interested in the change in total extent of Arctic sea ice due to climate change over the past 3+ decades:
But this is a little hard to see with typical satellite images...
Why animals?
- The depletion of Arctic ice threatens the habitats of many animal species
-
Animals are a recognizable symbol and could have a more emotional impact on an audience than other objects we discussed (like ice cubes).
