Title Text

"Now this is an inevitable truth: whatever you write will reveal your personality, and whatever you are will show through in your writing."

- Brenda Ueland

"All writers, by the way they use the language, reveal something of their spirits, their habits, their capacities, and their biases."

Why Caw?

Employers, potential business partners, and others are looking at social media and other sources to screen applicants, determine whether or not a person is trustworthy, and more.

Caw uses the Watson Personality Insights AI to determine traits by analyzing an author's written text.

Planning and Progress

I used Github's built-in Projects tab, which allows you to manage your progress.

You can drag and drop tasks across multiple columns to track to-do, in progress, and finished statuses.

All progress on the application was tracked through Github Projects and notes, which are accessible on the Readme.

It was critical to the process to detail day-to-day challenges being tackled.

Who may use Caw?

  • Politicians wanting to protect their reputation and be consistent in their views

  • Job seekings displaying themselves professionally and value-oriented

  • Social media influencers putting forward a unified personal brand

  • Those curious to see how they are being interpreted by the public

The Design

Like USUME, I wanted to keep the app very simple and easy to navigate.

Details are important to the user experience - the app remembers you if you're logged in and shows you "My Account" instead of "Log In" on the homepage.

There are no distractions from the utility of the application.

Future Additions

  • Add other types of Watson analysis like Tone Analyzer

  • Create a social media portion of the website in which you can compose a post right within the app. From there, gather analysis and edit your post to your liking. Post to social media right from the website.
