Jamie’s story

  1. Jamie was admitted to hospital suffering severe nausea in 2013 when he was 13 years old.
  2. A posterior fossa brain tumour was found and removed. The tumour was benign.
  3. 10 days after Jamie’s operation he contracted meningitis…

Jamie worked tirelessly and without complaint with his therapists in hospital…

  1. Every movement was painful
  2. His muscles had wasted away
  3. He often cried but he kept
    going
  4. He wanted to live and recover

Two and a half years on…

  1. Jamie is almost 16 and now
    attends a special school
  2. He is still ventilator-dependent all night and the majority of the day
  3. Jamie still has a long recovery ahead but has never once lost his focus or determination to get well
  4. Jamie has survived more than 15 brain operations.

Please help us to help Jamie…

  1. Raising funds to help build an
extra room for Jamie to practice with his walking frame
  2. Jamie currently has to practice
on hard concrete outside of his home
  3. Jamie’s words on this piece of
    video “..after this I deserve
    some chocolate!”

With many thanks from Jamie and his family.
