Calypso is a style of Afro - Carribean music that originated in Trinidad and

Tobago during de 20 century.

It rythims can be like de West African Kaiso rythims and also the arrival of French planters and their slaves from the Frenck Antilles by 1700

Origin: West Africa and Kingdom of Congo

Derivatives forms: Calypso, Soca, Brukdown, Palm - Wine and Mento

All this little styles are part of Afro - Caribbean music but West African kaiso is also part of Calypso music
