Internet of Things (IoT)

Internet of things (IOT) was initially used by Kevin Ashton, the co-founder of Auto-ID Center at MIT, where he defined it as: “ […] computers that knew everything there was to know about things -- using data they gathered without any help from us -- we would be able to track and count everything and greatly reduce waste, loss and cost.”

Theory behind IoT

Identification identitas unik untuk administrasi pada jaringan.
Communication untuk membuatnya dapat mengirim dan menerima data. mengubah "sesuatu" menjadi "hal yang cerdas".
Sensification sensor untuk mendapatkan feed perubahan disekitarnya.
Connection menghubungkan perangkat ke Internet.

Monitoring dapat menyimpan catatan, membuat prediksi berdasarkan catatan dan juga memberitahu pengguna tentang pembaruan.
