The Road to the New Orleans Bowl
November 24th, 2018
The Independent Gaming League season was created by the IGL Foundation to provide a place for all IGL leagues throughout the year to host and compete in events and tournaments. IGL Foundation is a 501c3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to bring people together to learn, compete, and play by providing opportunities for students in the areas of technology, gaming, and the digital arts that are both enriching and entertaining. We do this by producing events of various sizes and scopes that combine industry professionals and local gaming communities to participate in panels, keynotes, and competitive esport tournaments. The IGL Foundation leverages the popularity of the $92B-a-year video game industry to get kids excited about Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) as well as digital arts. We raise money by running events and tournaments to provide affordable STEM/Digital Arts education programs for students year-round.
By producing programs, seminars, conventions, and workshops that are both fun and educational, our goal is to better prepare students and their communities to be apart of today’s technology-driven workforce economy.

Gaming at the Riverwalk
On this day we would like to host an all day event and broadcast. Throughout the day we want to host a series of free games for sponsored giveaways prizes from the stores within the mall attract people to what we are doing.Later that day we would like to host a few of the bigger tournaments for bigger prizes.
The goal is by broadcasting live all day should not only bring the people that would be currently in the mall but to bring in people watching the stream from home.
We believe that the first official league tournament should average at minimum anywhere from 100-500 viewers per show.During the riverwalk event we would like to advertising many of the stores and products including sells, discounts and giveaways during the day.
