a nonprofit start-up based in Switzerland launching an interactive platform to explore creative approaches to global issues
through participatory arts-based research

{phenomenology}

“Phenomenological approaches call for immersion in actual experience, defined not as ‘reality as such’ but as how the person actually experiences reality - what she thinks, feels, senses and imagines in the moment.”

p.47 - Daria Halprin, in The Expressive Body in Life, Art,and Therapy, 2003.

{power of artmaking}

“Art-making is itself a sensory-affective experience that gives participants an experience of their own capacities for action.”

p. 28 – Stephen K. Levine, in Art in Action – Expressive Arts Therapy and Social Change, 2011

What if there were a

 platform for creative media

   designed through art-based research

    to channel attention,

     experimental collaboration,

   resources and results

  towards

pressing global issues?
What can art-based research into
the zeitgeists of our expansive imaginations
about pressing global issues
look, feel,
and sound like?

Low Skill - High Sensitivity

Sensitization and Decentering

1. Pair off based on shared interest in a global issue.

2. Explore the natural perceptual, phenomenological differences in our imaginative experiences of the world by imagining dots/particles in our minds connecting with lines. Draw your experience on paper and describe it to one another.

// (Italy) + (Uzbekistan)
// Decentering: Imagine dots connecting in one side of your brain, which side is it?
// Do you hear the dots, the particles connecting? Or do you see a line visually moving between one dot and another?
// Ask students: What is different about your imagined structures in your right brain and left brain sensations?
// Did you start on your right brain or your left brain? Stay on that side, let the movmeent have weight, texture,
// let it change as it wants to. Bridging bridging brdiging towards your other brain hemisphere until the structure continues evolving,
// transforming, splitting, splatting, maginificient beauties of multimedia, multiphenomenal, multidimensional imaginings....
// Bremer Hochschüle für Kunst
// Uzbekistan = move around, come close, open, straight, ordered, structured, fragmented, network, interating, nomad, liquid, start mellow then more colors
// Italy = curl qu-ed, closed, chatoicm unified, stacking, distance, castle with closed windows, solid, no colors

Imagine what will happen when...
Because great
   insights happen when we play with sense and nonsense, actuality and fantasy, dancing, singing, drawing, and creating boldly towards our inter-working
  inter-twining     team-ing
