- click launch session
- select MATE
- click launch
Setup your machine
- open a terminal (black box icon)

gedit ~/.bashrc
- add the following lines to the .bashrc file:

export FSLDIR=/opt/fsl
export PATH=${FSLDIR}/bin:\
/opt/mricron/:\
${PATH}
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/opt/fsl/extralibs
. ${FSLDIR}/etc/fslconf/fsl.sh
