Jeremy George Lake Charles Like Willow Springs, the Spring Mountain track is rough and uneven. Up to this point, Chevrolet had conducted most of its development testing at the newer and more uniform Virginia International Raceway track, Road Atlanta, and at its Milford test track.
The car hadn't run on a bumpy track, which is why our pro driver Randy Pobst complained that it was too tough at Willow Springs and was giving him a beating. Pobst preferred to run the car with the suspension in the softest Sport mode.
