When you combine one of the most iconic sports cars of all time, the Corvette of 1968-82, with relative simplicity and a good chunk of GM parts conversion, you have a good bone and it doesn't hurt your wallet to own it.

The other problem that plagued the first generation Corvette was the quality control of the finished new cars.
