What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?
Before creating the magazine I'd had some experience with photoshop. I knew the basics, e.g. how to contrast and saturate and image as well as how to add different effects to a raw image.
However, the process of putting together my magazine was very much self taught.
I used YouTube as a tool to my learning but a lot of it was going in head first and experimenting.
This is an example of something I taught my self as I went along, this is also a process I used in evidence of using photoshop.
In terms of understanding layers and how they worked I had to figure that out pretty quickly, I also learned that naming your layers helped a lot so you didn't get confused.
Other things like the gradient tool, is something I had underestimated, I soon found that using such a tool can help your product from looking simple and plain to interesting and different.
Some of my presentations have been done through an edited video. I have also answered two evaluation questions in this way also.
Firstly, I used Windows Movie Maker, it is a simple editing software that I have known about and used for a long time. Then, while answering the evaluation questions I wanted to give up more of my time, so I used a software called Sony Vegas of which I already had installed onto my computer.
