Waves Collage

Mechanical Waves

Transverse Waves

This are photos of slinky being moved up, down and side to side and they continue to move because the movement energy is still there.

Longitudinal Wave

In both photos there using a slinky to show the only going back and forth from the were the movement started, as a longitudinal wave does.

Surface Waves

In these photos above are a form of surface waves with the surface of the water rippling after some sort of matter hits it.

ELECTROMAGNETIC WAVES

Radio Waves

This is a picture of radio telescope picking up radio signals and what they would look like if we could see the waves

Infrared Rays

Both of the photos above were taken with a thermal camera and both have a bar to compare to because the brighter an object is the hotter it is. The darker an object is the colder it is.

Visible Light

In both photos, there are prisms, that are used to refract light in the light spectrum as shown

X-Rays

All the photos above are X-Photos and what we are seeing are the bones absorbing the rays because they are dense but your skin isn't that's why you only see bones and teeth

Gamma Rays

In both images above are reading from a radio telescope picking up gamma rays, radio waves, and micro waves. The one on the right shows what scientist have identified and what they haven't

Ultraviolet Rays

Both of these pictures are of the sun that gives off the most Ultraviolet rays in our solar system giving off

 invisible radiated energy or heat
