Megan and I are aware that the industry is very competitive as we learnt last year where we struggled to sell our merchandise however, this year we have done our research into the competitive market.

Therefore, we are going to keep on top of marketing and take the advantage of free social media sites where we can reach global audiences much easier. 

What is marketing?

Definition of marketing - the action or business of promoting and selling products or services, including market research and advertising.

Marketing products is something we see everyday, in posters, TV adverts and word of mouth.

In relation to 'MKStudios' we will be marketing our music video and use more modern technology such as social media. We already have 2 social media accounts in which we are keeping up to date and will have coming up quizes and questions for our audience to answer so they feel more connected with us as a music production group. However there are 6 different ways in which we could market our music video in which we will do as many as we can.

Different Marketing Strategies. 

Social Media.

Sites such as Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, Snapchat are all sites which allow companies to access worldwide audiences for free. They can share their updates with their audiences and interact with them as well which is key in creating a good reltionsip with your audience which will increase your sales.

Word of mouth

 This is an action which occurs through verbal communication, the more people saying positive things the more people will view the product.

Advertising online

Advertising online can create global reach therefore is important part of marketing. Online advertising can show up on websites, different search browsers or just pop ups this being effective as it alerts your attention to it

Merchandise

by marketing your product you're increasing the brand name. This is product such as tshirts, hats, mugs etc.

Billboards and Posters

Marketing on Big posters such as billboards are very simple and effective in the need of marketing. It catches people’s attention and these posters can be put anywhere.

Events

Organising an event to promote and celebrate your product can be useful to marketing, as its creates a word of mouth and would be shared over social media. Therefore, making the market a wider range of audience.

Marketing determines whether our music video will be successful or not. It will control our likes and viewers from audience members. Marketing our music video will also help us as a company grow and get recognition from others. Even though marketing is major when it comes to promoting products for sales and views, companies like ‘MKStudios’ a small and independent company it can be a struggle. This is due to the costing of some marketing techniques.

What we will do...

Megan and I are aware as we are only a small independent company we will take full advantage of free social media, however we are going to create posters and merchandise with our brand logo on so that it also increases word of mouth and our posters can be put in public places on tubes etc so we get wider audiences.

We will begin to design posters to produce and also different merchandise we can create.
