Idea 1

Type: Performance & Narrative

Song: "Monster" - The Automatic

Genre: Post-punk revival, alternative rock

Target audience: 15-25 year olds

• The Narrative will have a band performing in a shed or on stage.
• Band wears casual but trendy clothing.
• The Performance will feature a young man (most likely the artist) taking drugs. He then experiences hallucinations such as a scary creatures.

Idea 2

Type: Narrative with a Performance

Song: "The A Team" - Ed Sheeran

Genre: Indie folk

Target audience: 15-30 year olds

• The artist will play a guitar.
• The Narrative will feature a person who is suffering from depression (could be the artist). There are scenes that show why he is depressed.
• There would be cross cutting between the narrative & artist performing with a guitar.
• As the song draws to a close, he aims to commit suicide by jumping off a multi-storey car park, but chooses not to.

Type: Narrative

Song: "Things We Lost in the Fire" - Bastille

Genre: Indie pop

Target audience: 15-25 year olds

• The artist wears a long sleeve top & baseball cap.
• Two close friends have a massive fall out (one of them is the artist). This is shown when there are scenes of the two former friends throwing pictures away: one throws them in the bin, the other (the artist) burns them with a match. At the end of the video, they make peace.

Type: Narrative

Song: "Changed the Way You Kiss Me" - Example

Genre: Electro

Target audience: 15-25 year olds

• After a fallout with his girlfriend, a young person (the artist) does daring & dangerous activities to impress her & get her back.
• The girl takes no interest. She eventually re-settles with another guy.
