Background Information
Sample Pack - A digital folder storing clips of sounds (samples) that are made by other artists that are sold for free royalty use. Most artists are criticized for using these in their own songs, especially ones who more or less just copy and paste these samples in and call it their own song.
DAW (or DAWs) - Stands for Digital Audio Workstation, which is basically another word for music making software.
Example of a sample pack for catchy melodies made by other artists. Most of these companies that sell these tend to have "Loops" in their name.
A few examples of DAWs shown on the right: Ableton Live, and Cubase.

Even superstars have it tough. Pitbull — despite having 50 million Facebook fans and nearly 170 million YouTube plays — has sold less than 10 million albums in his entire career. This is the reality of the new music industry, which is built off of liquid attention, not record sales.
