This Indie band belong to an independent record label, called 'Bella Union'.
The owners of 'Bella Union' are Simon Raymonde and Robin Guthrie.
Bella Union have signed other artists with similar genres: Dirty-Three (Rock), Department of Eagles (Indie Rock), Lone Wolf (Alternative Folk).
Target Audience/Merchandise
The band's target audience is young teens. They do not have a primary young female target market, like One Direction as the band members in LOTL are both male and female.
This reflects on the audience and therefore, attracts a similar target audience of both young males and females.
They have released minimal merchandise and ancillary products as they are a part of an independent label so they have financial limits.
The merchandise consists of simple products, such as bags, posters, t-shirts and vinyls.
Website/Music
Within the band's official website, there are links leading to ways in which their fans can purchase their music, e.g. through iTunes or download free music links.
Band's Background
The band came together through friendship. They were self-made, unlike One Direction who were put together, purposely.
Self-released two EP's and a single before signing to Bella Union records in December 2010.
They released their first album within Bella Union's record label in 2011. They named it 'Gracious Tide Take Me Home'.
