The  Moon is not a  primordial(原始的) object.

It is an evolved terrestrial planet with internal zoning similar to that of Earth.

The Moon is ancient
and
still keep an early history that must be common to all terrestrial planets.


3. Youngest

Oldest


Even

the youngest Moon rocks are as old as the oldest Earth . 


So

the earliest processes and events that probably affected both planet can now only be found on the Moon.


4. Material





The Moon and Earth are formed from different proportions (比例) of a common materials.


5. Lifeless




The Moon is lifeless!
It contains（包括） no living organisms, fossils, or native organic compounds.

All Moon rocks made by high-temperature processes with little or no water.

Early in its history, 
the Moon was melted  to form a "magma ocean".

It's caused its landforms.


8. Asteroid Impact

(小行星撞击)




The magma ocean was followed by a series of huge asteroid impacts.


9. Asymmetrical

(不对称的)





The Moon is a little asymmetrical in form,

possibly because of Earth's gravitational.


10. Lunar Regolith

(月壤)


Moon is covered by a rubble pile of rock fragments and dust, called the lunar regolith.

It contains a unique radiation history of the Sun
which may be useful for
understanding climate changes on Earth.

The moon is an ancient planet which has a old landform made by magma caused from asteroid impact.





 It's lifeless and asymmetrical, 
but it's still beautiful due to its important role in Space Science.
