REVIEWS

Adding Reviews and Review theme explanation

Add a review

Reviews is a special type post. It consists of these elements:

  1. Review title
    review score (8/10, 4.5/5...)
  2. Review subtitle
title of the review - always use the H3 title tag to
    correctly display this title.
You could skip adding this title but I suggest you
either always have these title or not.
  3. Review recap
a short recap of the review. Use a few sentences
    to recap the review.
  4. Reviewer logo / link
Add an image, linked image or a link to the source
    of the review.

POSTS

Adding new posts (Social Mishaps)

Adding posts

Adding a post to the website blog (Social Mishaps) can be done by adding new posts and categorizing them as Social Mishaps.

Featured images

Every Social Mishaps has it's own featured image (blogs with featured images have more clicks on pages). A featured image is automatically set, taking the first image that is inserted into the post.

This image will be set as featured image, because it's the first image in the post.

Important: If no image is inserted into the post, there will be no image on the website and it may look broken. I suggest you always  add at least one picture in each post.

other content

Other website content has to be edited manually in the code of the website.
Content that still has to be changed before the website goes live:

  • Download links: the App Store and Google Play download links
at the bottom of the first page. To change these please edit the
first_page.php file in the theme folder.
  • How it works slide: the second slide of the slider on the first page.
A video and title & description should be added to the slide. If there
is no video yet, you could remove the whole slide by commenting
out the <li>...</li> in the header.php file.
  • Other pages content: please add content to About Us, Privacy Policy,
    Support and Contact Us pages.

subscribe to newsletter

Before the website goes live, you must change the code of the Subscribe to newsletter
form. It is currently set to subscribe to my subscription list.

Mail Chimp

The form is already designed for use with the Mail Chimp app so I suggest you use it,
just change the list to which the user subscribes to in the first_page.php file in themes folder.
