Title Text

Isaiah 44:21      “Remember these things, O Jacob,
         And Israel, for you are My servant;
         I have formed you, you are My servant,
         O Israel, you will not be forgotten by Me.
             22     “I have wiped out your transgressions like a thick cloud
         And your sins like a heavy mist.
         Return to Me, for I have redeemed you.”
             23      Shout for joy, O heavens, for the LORD has done it!
         Shout joyfully, you lower parts of the earth;
         Break forth into a shout of joy, you mountains,
         O forest, and every tree in it;
         For the LORD has redeemed Jacob
         And in Israel He shows forth His glory.

21 “Remember         these things..."

21 “Remember these things, O Jacob..."

  • There is only one God.
  • He is in control.
  • Only God delivers/redeems.
  • Nothing else that holds our allegiance can deliver us.
  • God will never forget us.
  • God forgives completely.

21 “Remember these things, O Jacob...

O Israel, I will not forget you."

Rev 3:5 - "He who overcomes will...be dressed in white. I will never blot out his name from the book of life, but will acknowledge his name before my Father and his angels."

 21 “Remember these things, O Jacob,
   for you are my servant, O Israel.
   I have formed you, you are my servant;
  O Israel, I will not forget you."

Remember that God Forgives (v. 22a)

22 I have swept away your offenses like a cloud, your sins like the morning mist.

Remember that God Forgives (v. 22a)

"Because the sinless Savior died,

My sinful soul is counted free,

For God the just is satisfied

to look on Him and pardon me."

Remember that God Forgives (v. 22a)

"If we confess our sins,

God is faithful and just

to forgive us our sins and

to cleanse us from all

unrighteousness" (1 John 1:8).

22b) “Return to Me,

for I have redeemed you.”

23 Sing for joy, O heavens, for the LORD has done this; shout aloud, O earth beneath.
Burst into song, you mountains, you forests and all your trees,
for the LORD has redeemed Jacob,
he displays his glory in Israel.

Rejoice! (v. 23)

Rom 8:20–22 – “20 For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope 21 that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God. 22 We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time.

23 Sing for joy, O heavens, for the LORD has done this; shout aloud, O earth beneath.
Burst into song, you mountains, you forests and all your trees,
for the LORD has redeemed Jacob,
he displays his glory in Israel.

Rejoice! (v. 23)
