Ephesians 6:1-4
1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.
2 HONOR YOUR FATHER AND MOTHER (which is the first commandment with a promise),
3 SO THAT IT MAY BE WELL WITH YOU, AND THAT YOU MAY LIVE LONG ON THE EARTH.
4 Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.

The Command, its Manner, and its Reason (v. 1)
"Children, obey

in the Lord,
for this is right."
A Timeless Command (vv. 2-3)

Provoke vs. Nourish (v. 4)
Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
Ephesians 4 - “1) Walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called, 2) with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing tolerance for one another in love, 3) being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”
Children:
Let your kids see the way you love the Lord and one another.
Seek to shepherd your child's heart in the Lord.
Parents:
Obey your parents in the Lord, because this is right.
