What's life like for children in other parts of the world?

IN Europe, we are relatively lucky. Each child gets an education, and many have good prospects in life.

But what about children in other continents? In poorer continents like Africa and Asia, life for children (like you guys at Water Hall) isn't so easy. Many children have to work hard to make a living.

Paper Bags

If you are a poor child living in a shanty town in India (in Asia) then chances are, you would not be lucky enough to get an education. In fact; you might not be lucky enough to even have a proper home. So children (about your age) make paper bags to sell to shops in return for a relatively small amount of money.

What are we going to do?

Do you think you have what it takes to make it on your own? Would you be able to make a living for yourself if you had to?

We are going to role play life in a shanty town in India. You will now all become 'paper bag makers.' You've got 20 minutes to try to earn enough money to improve the quality of your life.
