Key Vocabulary Words
Energy- is one of the basic quantitive properties describing a physical system or an object's state. light- electromagnetic radiation that is visible to the human eye and responsible for the sense of sight. sound- a vibration that propagates as a mechnical wave of pressure and displacement through air or water. Earthquake- A sudden release of energy in earth's crust that creates seismic waves.
wavelength- The spatial period of the wave. the distance over which the wave's shape repeats. frequency- the number of complete waves that pass in a given period. amplitude- a measure of it's change over a single period(such as time). matter- the substance that makes up all observable physical objects.(gas,solid,liquid). transformations- a physical transformation from one form to another.
