Objective & Standard
Objective : Based on data from investigations describe the effect that removing heat energy from different types of matter has on changing matter from one state to another.
Standard : 4.0 Chemistry
Students will use scientific skills and processes to explain the composition, structure, and interactions of matter in order to support the predictability of structure and energy transformations.
vOcabulary words
Heat Energy-A form of energy that is transformed by a difference in temperature
Matter-Anything that takes up space
Substances-Mass and occupies space
Data- Large amount of information
Temperature- A measure of the warmth or coldness of an object
Gas -Air like substance that fills space
Solid- A state were an object is firm or stable
Composition -Placing together things
Energy Transformations- Energy formed then changed to another form of energy
