Quizzes: Your comprehension of readings, vocabulary, grammar, and films will be evaluated on a regular basis.
Compositions: You will write two full-page compositions in class throughout the semester.
Oral exams: Your ability to communicate in spoken Spanish will be evaluated twice during the semester.
Written exams: three exams of approximately 50 minutes each, and a cumulative, two-hour final exam.
Note: final exam Thursday, May 5 from 10:15-12:15.
Group project: There will be an oral project done in small groups (3-5 students), for which the students will work on video recording and editing (role-play).
Cultural activities: students must attend a minimum of 3 cultural activities such as films, festivals, lectures, and performances on campus or in the community and turn in a 1-page report (1. Summary & description and; 2. Reaction – what I learned or saw differently) written in ENGLISH.
