Many people use their circumstances as a reason to give up in life instead of using them to fuel their passion like Dr. Philip Young. He has overcome all odds to become a respected reconstructive facial surgeon. Philip Young MD was raised as the son of an immigrant. His father was a business who worked hard enough to bring his family to the USA. This offered them a better life and so Philip Young decided that he was going to become a businessman like his father. He then worked hard and got accepted in the University of Washington’s School of Business. During his studies, Dr. Philip Young’s mother fell ill and succumbed to ovarian cancer.
Dr. Philip Young was gravely affected by this but instead of letting it define him for the worst; he used it to build his life. He developed a passion for medicine then decided against a business course and instead opted for molecular biology. He graduated Cum Laude with a degree in M olecular and Cellular Biology before he went further and attended Tulane University School of Medicine. The good doctor then joined the Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery residency program at the University of South Carolina where he gained more knowledge and experience about his area of specialty.
Philip Young MD is a motivation for all those people who have gone through something bad in life. These situations are supposed to build you and push you to become a better person. Instead of focusing on the pain, it is better to use the pain and the challenges to fuel your passion so you can achieve more and make something great from your life. Dr. Young has been able to serve and care for many patients because of this. He helps those who have congenital defects through reconstructive surgery.
