BRITISH INDIE VS HOLLYWOOD

British indie films would have a small production budget in comparison to large Hollywood productions. British indie films tend to aim for critical rather than box office success. They would be likely to get funding from various institutions and would be expected to receive little profit from box office sales. On the other hand, Hollywood films have an immense budget to spend on A-list actors, new technology and CGI effects which would appeal to large audiences and so would generate a lot of profit.

OUR FILM IN COMPARISION TO EXISTING BRITISH INDIE FILMS

Our film Aglet, like the existing British indie films, would prioritise the story and the message over the appeal to mass audiences or profit.

Our film would feature upcoming British actors and would use very little CGI effects or editing in comparison to blockbuster films.

Therefore, the production value would be around £800,000 which is less than Submarine and Frank but more than Just Jim and Weekend
