In no other museum do a heavy STAR truck and a shipyard gantry serve as an exhibit. In no other building are there trees growing inside and no other library has mezzanines and planks. Intriguing? There’s not time to waste, you have to get inside and feel the Solidarity.

2,500 exhibits, 240 multimedia stations, 6 stories underground, and 8 above ground. World War II Museum in Gdańsk, opened in March, 2017, is one of the most comprehensive exhibitions in the world on the greatest tragedy that struck humanity in the 20th century.
The museum is the largest history museum in Poland. Its creation and construction took several years, but today citizens of Gdańsk can proudly say that the building’s characteristic leaning tower has gracefully merged into the city’s landscape.

The out-of-the-box building that resembles a casket - Gdańsk Shakespeare Theater is not to be ignored. Opened September 19, 2014 it is the only theater building with a retractable roof, which allows for performing in natural sunlight, just like the Renaissance era.

The Forest Opera (Opera Leśna) is a legendary concert venue in Poland.
For many decades, it has hosted one of the two most important music festivals in the country – Sopot Festival – which was a stage not only for Polish, but also international entertainers.
Since 1963, when the Opera resounded for the first time with top songs that conquered the charts, Sopot has continuously been deemed the summer capital of pop music.

Bohaterów Monte Cassino Street used to be a road connecting two parts of Sopot - the Upper and the Lower. Since the beginning of the Sopot resort it has gradually transformed itself into an elegant street and then a pedestrian zone and an outdoor salon.

The Arena is located on the boundary of Gdańsk and Sopot. It hosts handball, volleyball, basketball, tennis, table tennis, equestrian and martial arts competitions. It is also planned to host hockey games on an artificial ice rink.
The structure is also equipped to organise theatrical and cinema spectacles, concerts, exhibitions, conferences and symposiums. The Arena has numerous restaurants, bars and pubs. It can accommodate 11 thousand people (15 thous. with the standing places on the pitch).
THE PIER IN
SOPOT
For almost 200 years a walk across the pier remains the obligatory part of any visit to Sopot, notwithstanding where you arrived from, be it a long distance or just a weekend family walk. Half a kilometre into the sea for anyone who walked from the beach to the end of the pier offers a great view onto the Sopot panorama and helps discover the dangerous beauty of the sea.

Apart from the natural recources Pomorskie gives a chance to move into the medieval times and travel along Teutonic castles just straight ahead into the largest gothic brick castle in Europe – Malbork.

Please allow me to introduce you to Kashubians – natives of the Kaszuby Region, it is one the most colorful and interesting ethnic groups in Poland.
