How did you integrate technologies?HARDWARE,SOFTWARE and online in this project?
Technologies can be the knowledge of processes and can be embedded in machines. In our new generation, new technologies are introduced which I have used for my project. It helped me in gaining more experience and more information.
HARDWARE
1. CAMERA
For our music video shoot, the camera work was done by me and my team member Tasbeeh Fatima. We used my camera Canon 700D with 18-135mm lens. These lens have a high definition video. I knew about handling this camera from our AS level when we had to make magazines. The 700D camera was introduced with a new kit lens thats why it has a professional quality. Since,I've already worked on this camera, I didnt face any problem in using it. We did the entire Cinematography with this camera.
2. Laptops and Mobile phones
For this project, I used my laptop and Iphone 6S which really helped me. With my phone, I was able to contact my friends throughout my shoot and for capturing the behind the scene pictures.Laptop was used in editing of our music video and we saved all our clips in our laptops. My laptop had no battery issue and I used it throughout my blog work and editing. All the screenshots of the evidence of our shoot and BTS were in my laptop and phone so both these hard wares were equally important for me.
3. Reflector and Tripod
I and my team member Tasbeeh bought the reflecting sheets and
the aluminium foil for our shoot. It helped us a lot in our light work.
It reduced the extra shadows and gave a perfect effect in our camera
during the shoot. For tripod, it has been a great help because it
helped in capturing steady shots. There was no jerk or movement
of camera during the video shoot because of the tripod.
4. Snapchat, Facebook and Whatsapp
The app, Snapchat was frequently used throughout our shoot. We captured behind the scenes through snapchat and made short videos of 10 seconds for the evidence of our shoot. Snapchat allows to write along the captions with pictures and the videos which was really helpful for us. Our media groups are on facebook and whatsapp through which we were able to interact with our teachers and friends. We uploaded our final music video on facebook to get the feedback from everyone and we posted the screenshots on our blogs. In our facebook groups, we sent all the important blog posts we had divided in the group members.
4. USB's and Batteries
For the backup of pictures and videos, I always carried my 16GB usb
everywhere in my bag. It had all the shoot videos and my presentations of my blog posts. Moreover, batteries played an important role throughout my A2 video shoot. I always kept my charger and battery of my phone and camera. We always made sure that we had extra batteries. My usb was really important since it had all of my files and if sd card had an issue, usb was a helping hand in this case.
SOFTWARE
1. Adobe Photoshop CC and Adobe premiere CC pro
These two softwares have immense importance throughout my AS
and A2 journey. I've been using adobe photoshop in my AS and for
my A2, we've been easily making our Digipaks,mood boards and
the websites. Due to experience in AS, I was easily able to construct
these elements within a short time. We used adobe premiere to edit our music video. It helped us in combining all the videos and we learned about the exposure,dark lights and different transitions and effects. For the editing, I along with my friends saw tutorials on youtubeso we were easily able to edit the entire video.
2. Online presentations
For our presentations on blogs, I used many different online tools
which really helped me to explore more and work more creatively.
From these online tools, we can easily use the embedded code
and post it on our blogs. The online tools i used more were Emaze, Prezi, Slides and Visme. All of these have been really helpful and we can design any of our written texts in any way we want. There are various styles,transitions in these presentation tools.
3. Youtube and Vimeo
These two softwares were really helpful, we used vimeo for uploading
many video clips for example our behind the scenes video.
Through the embedded code, we posted these clips on our blog.
Youtube was used more for the research post of our music video.
I went through different music videos with our video genre for researching the codes and conventions. Our final product was uploaded on youtube.
