- Succesfully migrated Tribe backend to Rails
- Added post release features
- tons of bug fixing
- Internationalized into 5 languages
- Added theming capabilities
- Launched Google Clusters
- feedback has been pretty positive
- app usage has been kind of slow but it seems to be growing
- did ask that we consider redesigning the weekly digest emails
- More Bug Fixing
- Quite messy Stylesheets: several types of buttons, different patterns, lack of fine detail
- Nick is working on a UI cleanup:
- Live link preview loading (similar to facebook, similar to adding photo or video to tribe posting)
- Improvement of the sorting algorithm.
- User badges: Organizer, Owner, Top contributor
- Adding more types of posts:
- Poll
- Question and Answer (with the ability to vote up and down the answers)
- Improving comments (bumping, link preview, images)
- Cross app features:
- Level Badges
- Curate/Categorize Links posted on Tribe (connect to the intelligence api)
- Code cleanup (mongoids, old dead code, billing)
- User Sync with exceed:
- no proper way to clean up or deactivate users in tribe
- Async solution (message queuing system?)
- We had talked about rewritting the frontend also.
- I believe this effort should be justified (need for new features, performance improvement, etc)
- We can get along with backbone/statecharts for the time being
- API V1 has not the greatest design:
- we have an acceptable performance thanks to cache
- Writing a V2 makes sense, in my opinion, once we can justify the effort.
