My musical journey began in Brooklyn, New York at the age of two. My passion for music has allowed me to go places, see the world and do what I love everyday and for that, I'm eternally thankful. I want my music to go as far as it can possibly go and achieve the most positive effect on our society and the world as a whole. This next chapter for me is very exciting and there's so much in store for me, the Apostles and the ears of the world, so to be quite frank, I just can't wait. How Many Bodies?? :)
Adam began playing music at the age of 12. By the age of 16 he was playing professionally throughout the New England Area. Adam attended Berklee College of Music on scholarship in 2001. While at Berklee he was taught by world class musicians including Joe Lovano, Hal Crook and Mick Goodrick.
Adam has had the pleasure to share the stage and studio with many wonderful artists and musicians such as Marcus Miller, Ludacris, Marc Broussard, Kirk Whalum, Phil Wilson, Mary Mary, Angie Stone, Diane Reeves, Big K.R.I.T, Booker T. Jones, Lalah Hathaway, Kiesza, Kris Bowers, Alice and the Glass Lake, Lyle Divinsky and The Loudhorns. Adam has working relationships with producers DJ Dahi, Twice as Nice, and David Bottrill as well as film composer Kris Bowers. Adam was also Miley Cyrus's guitar tutor during the filming of the Hannah Montana movie and has also appeared on The Tonight Show (Jay Leno period) and Late Night with Conan O'Brien. Adam's song writing skills and guitar playing talent has landed him a key position in The Funk Apostles band.
It's pronounced "Tay-Ron" damn it, not "Tyrone", "TuhRon", or "Taron" lol So about me...I don't think there's been a period in my life where I didn't play drums. As a kid from Garland, Texas, I just wanted express myself and music was my answer. I consider myself a craftsman in the Funk Apostles. Honestly, we all are! We come from many shapes, forms, and backgrounds of music. When you put that together on a stage you'd think it would clash, but Hell no! Not with this group!!! We're quite patient and mindful of each other. We've tapped into something that pulls you in from beat one.
I'm a keyboard player based out of both LA & NYC. I've played/toured with such artists as Miss Lauryn Hill, Talib Kweli, Bilal, Terrace Martin, Liv Warfield, and now the amazing Funk Apostles.
My passion is to attempt to portray my 'nerdery' in my music, and to explore the boundaries of what's musically normal and accepted. I'm excited about the Funk Apostles because it's an insanely eclectic group of amazing musicians, and we all trust each other completely, which, as a combo, is extremely rare.

"Being the bass player for Cory and the Funk Apostles is amazing. Our group is dope, our friends are dope, and the people who come to our shows are dope. Plus, I get to groove alongside a wizard, a sage, an elder, a spirit, a mogul, and a prophet. Who else can say that?
