The PrEP Gameplay

  1. Meet your doctor. Talk. Get tested for HIV, other STIs, and Hepatitis antibodies.
  2. While you wait, apply for payment assistance program!
  3. After a week, meet your doctor for results. Get prescribed for 30 days' supply!
  4. Two weeks in. Tell you doctor you're OK on drugs/medication.
  5. Pills finished. Meet your doctor for 60 days' supply.
  6. Three months on PrEP. Get an HIV test. Meet your doctor for 90 days' supply.
  7. Six months on PrEP. Get an HIV & comprehensive STI test. Meet your doctor for 90 days' supply.
  8. Repeat Step 6 and 7. UNTILL you're done with sex.

In case you are too lazy to get Truvada,

but made a mistake last night...

  • PEP must be started as soon as possible to be effective. To be most effective, treatment should begin within an hour of exposure.
  • PEP has little or no effect in preventing HIV infection if it is started more than 72 hours after HIV exposure.
