Alexis Tameron's Plan to Reform the Arizona Democratic Party from the Grassroots up

2014...

soooo...

ummmmm....

what happened?

1. National Trend

2. Historic Low Turnout

3. Dark Money

4. Struggle to Define Clear Message

How do we fix it?

The 3 M's

1. Members

2. Message

3. Money

Members:

1. Expand our number of activists and volunteers, county-by-county, legislative district-by-legislative district, to build upon a diverse base and shared ideals

2. Focus on neighborhood groups, local school boards and city councils to build a bench of progressive candidates to run for office

Message:
1. Embrace our progressive values and don’t be shy about what we stand for – we can do it by consistently defining differences between our party’s priorities and that of the Governor and Republican legislature

2. Increase engagement and mobilization with more aggressive digital and social media outreach

Money:

1. Expand grassroots and online fundraising efforts to get more Arizonans invested, leaving us less exposed to the effects of “Dark Money”

2. Expand the recurring donor program to maintain consistent cash flow and streamline operational costs so we have more cash on hand for 2016
