We need mapping that can enhance women empowerment and support women rights.
There are a lot of Violence Against Women help desks and other organizations which help women and children all over the country. One problem though is that these are not mapped or people are not aware that these organizations and help desks exist that's why there are still unreported cases of violence on women and children nowadays.
Mapping these are very important so that people will be aware about these and issues relevant to this will be reported accordingly.
Women need a visual guide for safe spaces; spaces where they are able to voice out anything that concerns and/or troubles their safety, especially given the fact that they continue to be a marginalized sector in society. This is one way to bridge the gap so that women are actually able to enjoy the rights and privileges they are entitled to.
Mapping in the Philippines has come a long way, and it is important that mapping in general be used to promote and supplement various movements and advocacies
