  5. The sole body to bring sponsorships for the annual tech fest

Responsibilities

 

  1. Promoting the complementary nature of technology and business skills and a start-up's dependence on it.

  2. Making use of languages such as Ruby,HTML/CSS to create web based applications.
    Ex: E-cell's official website.

  3. Designing posters,banners,brochures,video content for the upcoming e-cell events and college's annual technical fesival “ Ecstasy”.

  4. Keeping a track of the latest tech events and pushing young dreamers for active participation
    ex: Hacking marathons,Coding competitions,technical workshops.

  5. To ensure and  maintain smooth technical infrastructure.
    Experimentation of different tools to enhance communication such as Twitter,Facebook,Emails,Whatsapp,Skype.

 

 

  1. A mandatory meetup for atleast every 2 weeks to discuss and plan events,allocate resources and duties amongst the Associate Managers.

  2. To ensure that every tech member is competent in the aforementioned programming languages,weekly classes must be held to improve technical and logical skills.
    Ex: Ruby,HTML/CSS for web based applications.
    SQL for creating and maintaining records of different tech startups,future e-cellites,alumni,ideas,sponsors and apps.
    JAVA for mobile apps.
    C and C++ .

  3. Urgent and early discussion for an official E-cell's website. i.e Learning about static site generators and frameworks of Ruby.

  4. Awareness of open source .

  5. Projects division i,e, Creating some product which can be also used during 4th year for projects

 

A weekly breakup of activities

  1. Poster design for the upcoming inductions using AfterEffects or Photoshop.
    we need to give a little sneek peek every 1 week for the freshers to get them curious.

  2. Introduction of a new activity every 3 weeks .
    Examples:Awareness of different coding events

  • Hackathon ,

  • Google Code Jam

  • TopCoder

  • ACM ICP

  • Clearing the difference between coder and a programmer

  • The direct relation between startup and technology

     

3. Having a mini coding competition for the beginners or the interested coders

4.Introduction to algorithms to solve real world problems through coding

 

5.Being regularly active on FB,Twitter and Github,Emails.

  • Programming languages: JAVA,C,C++,SQL,Currently learning Python,MS office.
  • Creation of resumes and Cvs
  • Perfect formats of a business case report and Business plans.

Initiation:


  • Introduction of a new activity every 3 weeks in the form of an event or a competition
  • ex: Mini hackathon,coding classes,idea generations,Algorithm
  • Participating in eminent competitions to get recognition
    ex: National Entrepreneurship Challenge,IIT BOMBAY
  • Creation of an official website/blog.
  • Invitation of young speakers or videoconferencing with established alumni or other entrepreneurs on an occasional basis.
  • Have awesome brainstorming sessions to generate ideas and put them to use.
  • Making sure that we organize our sessions in our allocated room instead of the classrooms and record the lectures or discussions.Have our own projector.

Planning of this year's inductions

 

  1. Plan to rasie 30000k this year for the induction ceremony

  2. Pre induction plans:

  • Design of posters to give a sneek peek of what ecell does.
  • Looking for sponsorship
  • Startup weekend or a 3 day business event to select interested candidates.
  • Tech quizzes on website like Dork's Corner 
  • Events like Treaserlocked(Online Treasure Hunt) and partnering up with some online retail store .

 

How to make E-cell more prominent?

  • Have our own entrepreneurial awareness drives
  • Take part in NEN,IIT-B for recognition and further efficient functioning
  • Create new events through brainstorming 
  • Start planning for the events asap instead of delaying them to the last moment
  • Organize more alumni meetups during the winter holidays,if possible.
