I understand that although teen films are targeted at teenagers and adolescents they have a broader audience. This is because it can bring about nostalgia to older audiences.

Altohugh our film may have a wider audience we have targeted teenagers from the ages 16 - 21 years in our film opening.
However we have targeted teenagers who are living in urban areas as they would be able to relate to the film and the struggles the protagonist is facing.
We have taken in mind the gender of our auidence. We understand that our film can appeal more strongly to females however we understand that the themes of drug, crime and sex would also appeal to males.
