Purpose of the Study

This study was a correlational study done to test the hypthesis that the new generation of students is radically different than previous generations based on their digital literacy.

The Results

  • Age does not play a significant role in most ICTs
  • Once students have bridged the exposure gap, increased exposure to the digital tools does not expand use
  • Girls and boys are much closer than in previous studies
  • While usage has increased, use in facilitated learning environments has not
  • Students do not want to expand their digital lives to the classroom
