How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?
Prezi
Prezi was very effective when creating our pitch.
It helped us a group put all our ideas together to decide what was necessary in creating our music video.
Within Prezi you can add images and videos - we added images of inspirations and videos linked to our genre.
Kizoa
I used kizoa in the early stages of my blogging.
I used it as a collage format to assess my past work in the AS year.
I found it to be very effective but it does take a long time to create.
So as a result I ended up using other technologies to save time.
Slides
This presentation software is a simple way of laying out what I needed to improve on as I used it frequently to analyse work and do my reflection blogs.
It is quick to use and expresses my knowledge and understanding effectively.
Blogger
Blogger has been consistently used to update my teachers and my peers on every stage of our work.
Therefore they knew what we were doing and why we were doing it.
It kept things organised so I knew what I needed to add to my work and what I needed to improve.
Camera
The Camera we used we had previously used when creating our film openings in the previous year.
This was effective as we now knew how to quickly set it up and keep our work safe.
We know what shots looked good and at what angles.
In my group we all took up individual tasks.
Kyrell took up the job of monitoring and creating social networks to promote our artist.
We received a few followers on our twitter but as a group we could have used it more frequently to reach our target audience.
This is a fault that we should've quickly picked up on and fixed as it wouldve been a successful form of advertisement.
Green Screen
As a group we chose not to use green screen as our video contained a lot of colour and movement so we did not want to overcrowd the video and lose the interest of our audience.
We believe this was a success as feedback has shown our editing and camerawork was effective.
Final Cut Pro
These two were probably the most important in creating our work.
This software we had used before so knew how it worked.
However, music videos are harder to edit than films.
Photoshop
I had never used photoshop before and found a lot of difficulty.
Cropping images and adding texts was particularly difficult as i wanted it to look as realistic as possible.
YouTube
Youtube is the most used internet sharing site for music.
Therefore it was essential we used it to the best of our abilities.
We used it a lot when researching our genre and watched the videos thoroughly.
