Hovercraft
Modelling and Fabricating a RC Hovercraft
University Of Delhi
What is a hovercraft ?
-
A vehicle capable of travelling over multiple surfaces on a cushion of slow moving, high-pressure air.
-
The air is ejected against the surface below and contained within a skirt.
-
A propeller in the vertical plane used to provide the thrust, to move forward.
A Hovercraft Model
- Is not as big and good looking
- May move on water (if built with great precision)
Why Build It ?
- To try and test our (theoretical) knowledge of physics and mathematics specially Bernouli's Theorem and Linear Algebra against real world conditions.
- Use it later as a toy
