During the production of creating my music magazine, and using the programmes on the computer to do so, I realised that that some more planning was needed and that it would be helpful to get more practice on using things such as Photoshop and Quark, since I have never really touched upon them much before apart from one lesson at the beginning of the year. I was able to work upon my skills while using these two softwares. I already knew the basics of using photoshop and was able to work confidently on my own with it, however, with Quark, it was a new software for me so i was not as confident when using it but I was able to get help learning the basics. I also used a wide range of tools online which enabled me to present my planning and research onto my blog, I used websites such as Prezi, slid.es, slide boom, Powtoon etc. These allowed me to show my work in different ways and show that I am able to use the online tools.
For the blog itself, I used blogger, this is an easy and simple way to form a blog online, It was able to help me to present all of my work in the correct order and correctly. If I was to go and produce this magazine again, I would plan it further and make sure that I had more experience and practice with using the programmes, to ensure that I could make my magazine more impressive.
When taking the camera shots for my magazine, I started with a bad quality camera, meaning i needed to get a DSLR camera, this enabled me to get better quality shots and it also allowed me to control my shots, as I knew which camera shots needed to be taken. I was luckily enough to have good quality images in which I was able to use throughout my magazine production. If I was too do this again, I would make sure I started with a quality camera and know the skills of how to use it, this would avoid time being wasted.
