Yang Hyo-jin soars to 18 points...debutant Park Jung-ah falls in straight sets

Hyundai E&C swept Pepper Savings Bank 3-0 (25-21 25-16 25-19) in straight sets in the second match of Group A of the Women's Division of the 2023 Gumi Dodram Cup Professional Volleyball Tournament at Park Jung-hee Gymnasium in Gumi, Gyeongbuk, on Nov. 31.
After a shutout win over KGC Ginseng in the first match, Hyundai E&C dominated Pepper Savings Bank.
Hyojin Yang led both teams with 18 points (61.90% attack percentage). She was responsible for five of Hyundai E&C's seven blocks on the night. Kim Joo-hyang and Hwang Yeon-ju added 13 and 12 points, respectively.
Pepper Savings Bank dropped its second straight game after losing its opening match against Korea Expressway Corporation.
Park Jung-ah, who signed a free-agent contract with Pepper Savings Bank in April, made her debut for her new team as a substitute but failed to register a point. After falling behind midway through the first set, Hyundai E&C turned the tide with a strong second half. 토토
At 14-18, Hwang Yeon-joo's late attack and Yang Hyo-jin's back-to-back kills put them in the driver's seat, and at 17-19, Kim Joo-hyang and Yang Hyo-jin balanced the score.
At 20-20, Kim Joo-hyang's open attack, Yang Hyo-jin's fastball, and Kim Joo-hyang's service ace increased the score to overtake Pepper Savings Bank.
With the momentum in their favor, Hyundai E&C took control of the second set.
Hyundai E&C came back from 6-5 down to win five points, and a shaky Pepper Savings Bank committed back-to-back errors to give up more points.
At 19-12, Hyundai E&C's Lee Da-hyun intercepted Lee Han-bi's attack to reach the 20-point mark.
Hyundai E&C took the third set and ended the match in straight sets.
After a block by Lee Da-hyun at 13-12 and a quick open by Kim Joo-hyang, the team scored six consecutive points and reached match point at 23-17 with a quick open by Jung Si-young.
Jung closed out the match with another quick open at 24-19.
