A short history of coding earth

Our mission

we want to be a friendly and open hub for developers.

one rule only: it must be code-centric.

everything must focus dev-related topics

you're invited: talk, host, suggest, code.

special thanks to:

Online Meetups: How does this work?

Crowdcast
speaker gets focus

you can Ask a Question & chat in the meanwhile

the host can invite you to the stage for your question :)

-> smile if you're on TV!

YT live stream
in case you're having trouble connecting

Recording
will be online after the meetup.

VSC Liveshare -> maybe next time :)

moving on from meetup.com

many companies / groups turn away from meetup.com, for reasons:

  • Wework sold it some weeks ago to an "investment fund".
  • They're basically an email collector.
  • Announcement features are great, overall UX feels dated.
  • it's missing many features that would be great for developer events.

can we do better?

build a place where developers can discover meetups, webinars, conferences, projects, jobs, discussions, videos, tutorials, ...

...do not own the content / users - own the discovery!
