The Brief

Design Challenge

The Kings Theatre in Edinburgh is in need of its own brand identity for the modern age – something that is recognisable and works across digital channels, including an App or website.

Mandatories

  • New logo in colour and black and white.
  • A mission statement of the brand values.
  • A set of guidelines for colour, type and tone of voice.
  • Visual examples of the brand, integrated into a variety of touchpoints

History

The King's Theatre is one of UK’s most luxuriant theatre venues and was built in 1905 by Edinburgh builder, William Stewart Cruikshank with the millionaire philanthropist Andrew Carnegie laying the foundation stone on 18 August 1906.
